About the Altoona Youth Soccer Association
A Proud Soccer Heritage Founded in a Love for Soccer
The Altoona Youth Soccer Association was originally established in 1974 as a club committed to creating a love and passion for soccer. Our goal is to further and promote youth soccer in the City of Altoona, Iowa and surrounding communities through education of parents and players, as well as organizing and training our players to participate and compete at different age levels and in Recreational, Academy and Select levels of competition.
As a reputable and distinguished youth soccer association, the Altoona Youth Soccer Association belongs to numerous soccer associations and leagues in the state of Iowa. We are a member of the Iowa Soccer Association, Iowa Soccer League (ISL) and the East Coalition.
Commitment to a Positive Playing Environment
The Altoona Youth Soccer Association is committed to providing a positive environment for players, as well as coaches, parents and referees. We are part of the Alliance 4 All program, a program that brings these four groups together for better sportsmanship and a better all-around soccer experience.
Violations of conduct by any of these four parties are taken seriously in an effort to keep the focus on the promoting soccer and fostering a love for the game. By working with players, coaches, parents and referees, the Altoona Youth Soccer Association provides a positive soccer experience for youth soccer players of all ages and abilities.
